Lipstick wanted…

I have a self-imposed war with lipstick manufacturers.  I think they are conspiring to effectively keep me from looking pretty:-)

First, there was Mary Kay.  I used Copper Star for a long time! I mean, I used it for years!  I became a consultant in 2003 and as far as I can remember, this was my favorite from the time I began.  For one reason or another, they decided to discontinue manufacturing it.  What’s a girl to do?  I searched other lipsticks in the brand but to no avail.

Then I found a new favorite:  Sugar Honey by Estee Lauder.  This became my new best friend.  It graced my lips on pictures of me in weddings, graduations, Friday night outs, birthdays and church days.  Two months ago, I was dealt devastating news!  This, too, was getting the ax.

Once again, I have gone and taken to the shelves of malls in search for just that perfect color for my skin tone.  Through trial and error, I have found the lighter colors with a touch of orange and mix of pink is what looks best on me.  I have had no luck.

I have purchased some from Sephora, MAC, Estee Lauder.  With the lighting at the stores, I get excited that I have found the one.  When I get home, disappointment ensues.  I am not giving up yet.  I am on a mission for the perfect lipstick!  Bring it on!
