I had something else in mind to write about today to welcome October and the last quarter of 2017. I awoke to somber news from Las Vegas. My first thought was for my cousin and her family. I later heard they are safe. I had a heavy heart soon after reading the news because I decided not to go to morning mass today. It was still dark outside and I felt lazy to get up. Today happens to be the Feast of the Guardian Angels. From what I heard on the news, there were so many guardian angels who sheltered so many from flying bullets. I thank God for protecting and keeping thousands of people safe. My prayers go out to all the victims and their families as they grieve loved ones. Prayers to the wounded who are still in the hospitals for speedy recovery. To the heroes who helped save lives, may God bless you all.
It’s as if mother nature was feeling the pain of the victims and their families in the 702, the sun did not come out till after noon after last night’s non-stop rain causing flash flooding. This is not a great start to the month but I continue to believe that peace and goodness among men will prevail.
