Breakfast for one. Vol 2.

Monday is not my favorite day of the week.  If I go by friends’ posts on social media, I know that it is not for them either.  But as sure as the sun comes up in the morning, so do Mondays!  I have found that embracing Mondays as a day to reset and start fresh has been the key to a solid start to the work week.  Well, today I leaned on this mantra just a tad harder.  I stayed up late to watch a show on TV so getting up was a challenge.  I made it to morning mass just in time for the homily and it was just what I needed to get back to center to start off on the right foot.

Today’s message:  “Our hearts were made for you, O Lord, and they are restless until they rest in you” -St. Augustine.  May we rest all our troubles in God’s hands and trust that He will ease our burdens.

On the menu for breakfast:

Ham, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich from Panera (340 cal)

  • Egg
  • Thick slice of Vermont white cheddar
  • Smoked, lean ham
  • Whole Grain Bread

Tall cup of Hazelnut coffee with 2% milk (25 cal)
